Effepaine - Effervescent tablets fast pain relief

Pharmaceutical form:
Effervescent tablets. Box of 4 blisters x 4 tablets.

Group therapy: Analgesic, antipyretic
- The case should this medicine:
This medicine contains paracetamol. Drugs used to treat pain and fever, such as headache, status flu, toothache, muscle aches, abdominal pain in period.
This product should be used only for adults and children weighing over 13kg (over 2 years): please read the "dosage" carefully.
Contra-indications:
- Patients with multiple anemia or heart disease, lung, kidney or liver disieases.
- Patients with hypersensitivity to Paracetamol
- Patients with deficiency of glucose-6 phosphate dehydrogenase.
Case of doubt, should consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Special attentions:
Must immediately notify a physician when using overdose or missed dose is too high.
This medicine contains paracetamol. Do not use the drug combination containing paracetamol to avoid overdose daily is indicated (see "Dosage")
This drug contained sorbitol and should not be used in case of intolerance to fructose (a genetic disease of metabolism).
Cautions:
If persistent symptoms more than 5 days, or longer than 3 days of fever, or medication is not effective enough, or that other symptoms appear, do not continue treatment without consult your physician.
Case salt diet or eat light (reduced salt) to remember that each tablet contains 177.7 mg of sodium to calculate the daily diet.
Drug interactions and other interactions:
- Effects of anticoagulants increase substantially when using high doses of paracetamol and long with anticoagulant (substance indandion cumarin and derivertiveness).
- The drugs when used in conjunction with paracetamol increases the risk of liver poisoning include anticonvulsants (phenytoin, barbiturate, carbamazepine) and anti-tuberculosis drug isoniazid. Therefore patients should limit themselves to use paracetamol when using anticonvulsants or isoniazid.
To avoid interactions between drugs, you always have to report to the physician or pharmacist that you are using other drugs.
Pregnancy and lactations:
- Pregnant women should not use the last 3 months because of the risk of early closed artery tube of the fetus
- In normal conditions, pregnant women or nursing mothers can use paracetamol.
- As a general principle: women are pregnant or breastfeeding before using a drug should consult with a physician or pharmacist.
Dosage:
This dosage for adults and children over 13 kg body weight (about 2 years of age).
* For children:
- Daily dose of paracetamol calculated weight of the child, age of the child only for reference and guide. If you do not know the weight of the child, children need weighted to calculate the most appropriate dose .
- Recommended daily dose of paracetamol is 60mg/kg/day divided into 4 times or 6 times.
* Dose commonly used are:
- Children weighing from 13 to 20 kg (about 2 to 7 years): half of each tablet, if you need booster dose after 6 hours, no more than 4 times of a half tablet in day.
- Children weighing from 21 to 25 kg (about 6 to 10 years): half of each tablet, if you need booster dose after 4 hours, no more than six times of a half tablet a day.
- Children weighing from 26 to 40 kg (about 8 to 13 years): one tablet, if you need booster dose after six hours, no more than 4 tablets per day.
- Children weighing from 41 to 50kg (approximately 12 to 15 years): one tablet, if you need booster dose after 4 hours, no more than 6 tablets a day.
* For adults and children over 50 kg body weight (about 15 years old): the dose commonly used is  one to two tablet 500mg once used (depending on the level of pain), if need be booster after at least 4 hours.
Usually not necessary exceed 3g Paracetamol a day (about 6 tablets a day). However, in many cases of pain, total drug dose can be up to 4g per day (about 8 tablet per day).
The distance between the uses was always 4 hours.
Severe kidney disease (severe renal impairment), the distance between the used times is 8 hours and the total daily drug dose should not exceed 6 tablets (3g).
When in doubt, must immediately report to the doctor or pharmacist.
How to use and used route:
Oral route. Completely dissolve the tablet in a glass of water about 200 ml.
Also, if the child fever C 38.50, do the following steps to increase the effectiveness of drug treatment:
- Remove the child's clothing.
-  Drink more fluids.
- Not let children where too hot.
- If necessary, bathe the children with warm water, temperature 2ºC lower than body temperature of children.
Frequency and time of the use:
- Use the medication, avoid the variation in the degree of pain or fever.
- In children, required distance between each administration, both day and night, should be about 6 hours, or at least 4 hours
- Adults need a minimum distance of 4 hours between the administrations.
- In case of severe kidney disease (severe renal impairment), the distance between the  using is minimum of 8 hours.

Treatment for overdose:
Should immediately notify the physician in case of overdose or missed using poisons.

Undesired side effects:
As all medications, this drug may cause the mild reactions in some cases.
- In a few cases, there may be a rash or allergic reactions. If so, stop the treatment immediately and notify the physician.
- In some rare cases, have seen a change results in clinical trials, so need regular blood tests: For example, unusually low levels of certain blood cells (platelets), can lead to epistaxis, bleeding benefit. If so, should immediately ask physician.
